In yet another instance of kidnapping in Bihar, a 23-year-old MBA student Pratibha Anand was kidnapped from Patna for ransom, police sources said on Saturday. Pratibha, a student of MBA at Patna-based Zakir Hussain Management Insitutute, was kidnapped from Digha police station area on Thursday when she was returning to her residence after depositing college fees.
Mahila Thana station house officer Arti Kumari Jaiswal arrived at the spot and told reporters, "The girl seems to be in a state of shock and hence we are taking her along to the police station and wait for the time till she is able to record her statement coherently. An FIR will be lodged based on her testimony and investigations and further action will follow."
All the seven accused have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
